pt cru Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 Does anyone know if it is possible to get insurance cover just for loss of door keys and replacing locks only? The voluntary organisation that I work for hires a facility where we have to unlock an outside storeroom to access equipment and also have to unlock the main building to access the toilets. The people we hire this facility from have told us that if one of our keyholders looses their keys, we would have to pay to replace all the locks and all keys. As other organisations in the area have keys, it could be hugely expensive. Our current insurance company will not cover us so I need suggestions/help with this asap.
Strix Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 hang on a tick - surely the sensible solution is that people don't 'have' keys but must return them to a keybox in the main building after use?
Dark Moomin Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 I know Endsleigh certianly offer this cover and used to offer it seperately from contents and buildings cover. Don't know about in a commercial setting but if you explain what you need to them hopefully someone would be able to popint you in the right direction.
