Anyone know of any small independant shops selling this early in Sheffield?

 

There is a complete embargo on this till Tuesday.

 

Anyone caught selling early will lose distribution rights to all games. It's not worth the risk.

 

Even online outfits like play have apparently been banned from putting them in the post till Monday to ensure no-one gets a cheeky copy on Monday.

Well looking on the XBOX forums, there a quite a few people who are starting to get their hands on legit copys, bought from small game stores across the country, theres bound to be at least one in Sheffield.

 

Also, somone said earlier about getting banned for playing it before release, from my understanding, you can play singleplayer without a problem (but i'd still stay offline, just to be safe )...Theres even a live feed of someone playing it somewhere out there aswell...

The game is on sale at Game Base in Rotherham, well, it was yesterday. I got the PS3 version for £44.99

 

IGN also gave the game 10/10, saying the game is better on PlayStation 3 as it has less technical problems.

I drove over to Rotherham later that day because I saw somebody post on AVF with photographic proof that they got it from Game Base on Church Street.

you wouldn't want to anyway - apparently Microsoft are banning any xbox live accounts of anyone who uses it before the street date.

 

a) They can't, because it's not in the terms of their agreement, and there's nothing wrong with buying it early, only shops selling it early.

 

b) Exactly the same stories were doing the rounds when Halo 3 came out, yet Argos broke the street date by nearly a fortnight and no accounts were suspended. MS would get sued horribly, and they wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

 

I'm just annoyed because I know Game sent out the normal editions via first class yesterday so people should get them tomorrow, but I ordered the shiny special edition in a big box which they're sending via Parcelforce so I know there's no chance of me getting it before about 2pm on Tuesday

 

According to MyGamerCard.net there are over 2,500 people who have played it and no accounts have been affected.

well i'm royally ****ed off with GAME.net.

 

I've had a pre-iorder with them for 6+months for this game and yet i got an email telling me that they've cancelled my pre-order due to "a problem with my card".

 

this is despite them sending em one email saying everything was ok and despite it being the same card i use to spend thousands in their online store and despite there ebing PLENTY in my account....

 

me thinks they've took too many pre-orders and decided to screw over so many people...
