Clangeroo Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Help - anyone know anywhere that can successfully dry it out? - I have removed the battery and sim and used a hairdryer on cool for a bit but I know its still wet inside. Anyone help? Please?
tinkabel Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Other than wacking your heating on full and putting it in a sock on the radiator i have no idea, sorry
greendragon Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 id say put it near a radiator but not too close, i once washed my mp3 player and did it, it worked fine but got loads of condensation under screen so i wouldnt put it on 2 high!!
dogs4life Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 try putting it in a warm airing cupboard for a week - I have done this many times when my children used to put the sky remote in for a swim with the fish!
rad Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 It may well be dead. I washed mine and that was the end of that...
Antics^^ Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 I washed a mobile phone on a 40 degrees load a couple of years ago. The phone never worked again, although it did a springy fresh smell to it
TESTPASS Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 put it in the dryer ? seriously tho, you need to open up the phone before putting it in the airing cupboard so it doesnt just condensate inside. may be a good idea to get another battery to try it also. I have had a few items like that washed with the kids and its worked, had a DS and a GBA and they both worked after about a week in the airing cupboard. hope you fix it p.s, dont dry it with a hair dryer ! and as daft as it sounds you mighnt want to open it up and submerge it again in just water to rince out any soap ect .
depoix Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 as dogs4life says, the airing cupboard, i left my phone in a sweatshirt pocket and it was put in the washing machine, did the same as you with the hairdryer then the airing cupboard,it took a few days to dry out though
Ally68 Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 If you have already tried to switch it on it is probably dead. If not leave the battery and sim card out and leave it until completely dry. Good Luck!
