It appears that my gorgeous Billy boy has a new hobby.

He keeps asking to go outside and then running round in the garden hunting all of the worms he can find and leaving them all on the doorstep.

We've had 3 today already- I dread to think what's going to happen when we get to baby bird season.

my dog gets worms, snails, slugs and rolls her body over them to squeze their guts out and then eats them! :gag::loopy:

Hmmmm

My initial thoughts are harvest the worms ....... there are plenty of fish keepers out there that feed garden worms to their fish ;)

Ha it's interesting how they get fixated on something- our old cat SKWEEK used to bring home cat collars. for SPUTNIK it was rhubarb leaves and for SABELLA it was wasps - live, furious wasps, one after the other - dunno where the nest was but she had huge fun bringing them indoors for us. Enjoy- at least he isnt leaving them on the stairs in the dark for you to tread on!

No, but my Monty used to bring in loads of fat, juicy worms.... and he did leave them all over the place, waiting to be trodden on... :(

He can't get them any further than the doorstep because I don't have a cat flap (I knew there was a reason why I chose not to have one!).

Merlin specialised in wasps and bees and Baby brings in half a moth occasionally, but I'm hoping that Billy doesn't get good at this hunting lark. My old man cat Tetley was catching upwards of 10 assorted furry and feathery things a day when he was 14.

My friends cat used to bring in mice that were alive. He'd hunt them, bring them home, but not kill them!

I remember when I stayed at their house, and a baby mice went running past, it totally scared me as I thought it was a really big spider, haha!
