I think their problem was always the name; few people would have guessed that they were an Arctic Monkeys tribute band, even when Milburn played their hits "I Bet You Look Good On The First Floor" and "Drainstrom". Had they called themselves somethink like "The Antarctic Donkeys", people would have known what to expect from them and they'd have done a bit better.

 

At least fans of AM tribute bands have still got Little Man Tate and a host of other Sheffield bands, so it's not all bad........

 

as it happens, Milburn were formed several years before Arctic Monkeys, and so it is they who are a Milburn tribute band, perhaps?

This is a really good music DVD. The behind the scene extras on there own, make for a very good look at a band trying to break into the big time. The final gig main show, is kick ass. Give it a go for Christmas. Shame it had to end.

I may be wrong here, but I thought Milburn's drummer taught Matt Helders the basics of drumming?

You don't have to be a newly formed band to jump on such an obvious bandwagon.

Shame they gone, only got a couple of there songs hope little man tate don't suffer same fate. Also hate how NME tarnish Sheffield bands with the same Arctic Monkeys brush
