Col2k5 Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Hiya .. my son has a 19" Samsung LCD TV in his room with his Wii on it .. the Wii is on the wireless network ... he is now asking me if he can have a computer to talk to his cousin online and play the odd few games on ... His room is very limited for space so i was thinking about building him a Shuttle or something similar ... Is it cheaper for me to get him one pre-made or build one from scratch ..? Links to sites and prices appreciated .. Thanx Col ..
e912 Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 i think this is a good deal, and it looks quite small, need a wireless dongle though http://www.ebuyer.com/product/126118
Livid Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 We do some small form factor green pc's which would be ideal for a bedroom as they are extremely quiet and small - Treeton Standard - http://www.very-pc.co.uk/?section=home-pcs&subsection=home-greenpc&system=318 Treeton Premier - http://www.very-pc.co.uk/?section=home-pcs&subsection=home-greenpc&system=542 Both are energy efficient (30w average on Standard and 40w average on Premier) and sport dual core processors, If Green stuff isn't your thing we do make some standard everyday PC's but nothing really as small a form factor as the Treeton but check out the links above and have a look on our website.
willman Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 For spacial limits a laptop would be best. No tangles of wires, monitors, keyboards etc. You can get one that would be sufficient for £300 from Sainsburys.
