JenC Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 There's been some in the past, but none in any living family.
JenC Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 The most severe in our family was back in the 40s. He was a vicar and started going to sermons completely naked (seriously). He'd lost his mind and doctors didn't hesitate to put him in a straight jacket. He died falling downstairs trying to escape; within a few hours of his daughter committing suicide.
Belinkabelle Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 With 1 in 4 of us likely to be directly affected by mental illness at some point in our lives, the family who have no past, current or future experiences of it are the exception rather than the rule.
slickwitch Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 Yes. Most of the females are very very very twisted (Grandma tried to cut Grandpas throat with a cutthroat razor). Quite obviously I'm a miraculous exception:hihi:
