You lot don't half talk a load of (stuff that comes out of a donkey's rear end).

The only way you will ever know anything about the FREEmasons is if you become one. The rest is all hype.

Sheesh!

I would comment, but it is difficult to type whilst kneeling down, with my left breast bared, and my right trouser leg rolled up.

Not to mention the pants on your head and the pencils stuck up your nose. Oh for more blackadder. Sigh!

If you were invited, would you join the Freemasons? Have you joined?

Obviously ladies might feel excluded from this thread.

Why join a gang? A secret gang at that?

Free Masonry was inspired to counteract organized religion, which was corrupt and an awful influence at the time of its inception.

It was an enlightened organisation based on... stone masonry !

equality and liberty for all were its founding principals, including women.

Freemasonary isn't exactly secret.

There is nothing sinister about it !

Hello Tony.

I'm new here but wnat to point out a couple of points that you should know.

Firstly its against the rules of freemasonry to 'invite' any one into membership. People wishing to join must do so fully of their own volition and initiative.

Second you may not be aware that there are 'ladies lodges', so although separation is maintained women can become freemasons also.

There is a group for women....Order of the Eastern Star and I think there may be others. I dont know that much about Freemasons. I think they do some good charitable things but I've also heard much darker stories about them.

The Eastern Star is a particular branch of freemasonry, no branches being related to the sex of the individual.

For the layman freemasonry may be complex to understand in that there are many forms of freemasonry folowing different rituals and paths, but all regarded as freemasonry.
