Mrs Hyde Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Do the people that do this have to be qualified in something, ive just had mine done, it was a bit more painful than normal, and since ive had a slight "floater"across my eye and a slight flash now and again, does anyone know if they could be connected. Or is it just a coincidence

Or is it just a coincidence It's probably just coincidence - do you get migraines at all? If it doesn't go away then I'd have it checked. I get mine threaded - far superior results although a little painful the first time but gets much better afterwards. Not sure where you can get it done in Sheffield though

(I think) technique originally where they use a piece of cotton thread to take hairs out, and is much more accurate so can give better shape and definition. If you look on Youtube and search for 'eyebrow threading' you can see it in action. Here's and article from the Guardian, don't take too much notice of the savage looking picture it really isn't that painful!

liarliar Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 floaters are caused by oil glands in your eyes popping so unless you sneeze cough or have a fist in your eye they wont pop so having your eyebrows waxed is not a cause sorry.x:rolleyes:
shihtzumad Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 my daughter has her eyebrows waxed, and she says it didn't hurt, she wants me to have mine done, but i no it will hurt lol
rubydazzler Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 It doesn't hurt, honestly. I have mine done and it's less painful than tweezers!
kimba Posted April 3, 2008 Posted April 3, 2008 waxing is so much easier its less pain than plucking hehe
