Glitter Star   10 #1 Posted March 27, 2008 My Mum wants a whippet. She's not bothered about age or it being a puppy and would gladly have a rescue dog.  We've had greyhounds, German shepherds and mongrels in the past so she is used to dogs.  Any suggestions on where to find one? Moonbird   10 #10 Posted March 27, 2008 http://www.rotherham-dog-rescue.co.uk/inf_03.htm There's a couple of greyhounds and crosses, a whippet cross and a lurcher type.  I actually walked one of the greyhounds Grace but she is gone now, she was lovely but unfortunately not really safe with furries. I also enquired about Daisy she sounds nice too... a bit to giddy for me though. Amber looks absolutely gorgeous doesn't she? , awww and Alfie I am still down on rotherham dog rescues books looking for a whippet bitch (oh dear I forgot to cancel it )... oh well time will tell and all that. Gemima   10 #11 Posted March 27, 2008 Please take a look at the many sighthound rescues. Whippets and Greys get such a raw deal as people think they are hard work, far from it.  Try these websites  http://www.greyhoundgap.com http://www.sighthoundsonline.co.uk  anna293 a member on here is the Sheffield Co-ordinator for Greyhound Gap you could also try to PM her for help on Whippets.
