Im not after an older cat as I need to be able to get it used to snakes and lizards. I

It depends which part of the city you're in, of course, but as it's coming into kitten season, the local charities will be overflowing soon, so it might be worth keeping an eye on their websites.

That's fair enough. It does come down to personal preference.

 

I just thought your other half might find alot more choice at one of the smaller rescue centres, and then the kitty can choose her instead of the other way round.
