Almost every day of the year is a Saint's day for some saint or other. In fact, Christmas day might be the only day of the entire year that is not.

 

 

I didn't know about saints' days being abolished during holy week until I read this thread.

 

Malta has a good (ie profitable) system, IIRC from a holiday many years ago. There were regular celebrations around different churches which "conveniently" occurred at weekly intervals. These involved some sort of religious parade and fireworks. Holiday makers could therefore be guaranteed the opportunity to buy a seat on a coach trip to see one of these at some point on their holiday.
