taz_n_tom Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 My mum bought my and my partner a car last september for my birthday, it was only an old astra mk3 but its nice and tidy, as we were both working close by we never taxed or mot'd it when it run out, infact we havent used it at all since we got it, just started it every few days to make sure it turns over ok, the problem we have now is my mum being my mum managed to loose all the details for the person she bought it off, and when she bought it, they said they hadnt recieved the v5 document yet and were waiting for it. A few days ago we contacted the dvla to fill out a v62 form, to get it properly transfered into our name so we could try sell it as we aint using it, but they said you need to have a vic check or something like that, n if we wanted it all doing n regging it was going to cost like nearly £70, which unfortunatly as were not working now, we aint got n prob wont have for a while, i know no one is going to buy a car without a v5 etc, so does anyone else know what other options we might have to get rid of it, or just get something for it??? as i really dont know what to do with it.
whitewitch Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 Dont you normally have a vic check on a car when it has been involved in an accident and been repaired?? Maybe your better putting an advert in and breaking it for spares
