Heather Mills gets £25million - Will she shut up now?

Yes it's crazy but it's the system that is at fault really. She is only playing by the rules - it is those law makers who allowed this sort of thing to happen who should be ashamed of themselves.

Why is it the "law makers" fault? I would have thought you'd have blamed the socialists. ;)

If he's foolish enough to think he wouldn't need a pre-nup, then I've no sympathy with him. He should have been sensible and got legal advice. Good on her, she was unpopular before, so at least now she's unpopular and rich.

Also, if he's been worth £800m for 15 years, then his bank must be paying him a rubbish rate! He should be raking the interest in on a bank balance like that. Time to switch.

They met in 1999 and married in 2002 split in 2006.

So 7 years together or 2555 days. Assuming they had congress 3 times a week (unlikely looking at Macca) that's 1092 times.

So £25million divided by 1092 = £22,893 per time.

A lot more than she got from her time as a legitimate whore servicing Arabs in London and she had two legs then.**ALLEGEDLY** :hihi:

got to beat workin for a livin i would have bit the pillow for that amount of cash:o

Pre-Nups are NOT legally binding in our courts.

I don't think there is much chance that she will crawl under a stone, after all she has her animal welfare work. I am sure she will happily fund awareness campaigns now that she has given up the day job.

I wouldn't be surprised if she just disappeared with the money now- all that animal welfare/landmine work may well have been 'bait' to lure in old Macca...

True enough, but I'm sure if he'd sorted something out before getting into it, he'd have had much more sympathy, and possibly a stronger bargaining tool for her demands for "essentials". (well, from me anyway!)

I'm pretty sure at the time they married it was reported that she offered to sign a pre-nup and he refused because he thought it was unromantic.

I'm also bored of the assumption that she was only after him because he was rich as it's been well documented that when they first met it was he who doggedly pursued her for some time before they started dating. It was also he who chose to ignore all the warnings that his friends and family gave him about what she was like. I'm no fan of Heather Mills in any way, but to rewrite the story to make out that he's some poor innocent victim is ridiculous. He was proactive in their courtship and marriage and shares responsibility for what's happened.

Pre nuptial agreements have no status in British law.

I'd heard that, but wasn't sure where! In that case, it makes him even more foolish in my eyes.
