Restoration advice on an old mpv?

Hi all. I know this is not really a classic car and probably a car detested by many. but i have just bought an old renualt espace. 1989 i think. Anyway, someone has already made an intresting job of painting bits of it so my OH has given me free rein to repaint it (Im thinking camoflage). We go camping a lot so i am also wanting to add a few handy extras to it but not to much as dont want to lose any seats or space. Does anyone have anyadvice or know where i can find some info? I also want to know if you have to use diffrent paints on a fibreglass vehicle?
