I remember the Hollow Meadows Hospital being open in the 1960's. It appeared to be an "open" hospital as I often saw people who I am sure were patients going out for walks etc.

The Blue Coat School was not at Hollow Meadows. It was originally on East Parade in the city centre and then moved to Psalter Lane. It was a charity school for fatherless boys. It would appear to have closed in 1939 when the premises were taken over by the military.

My dad was at the college of arts and crafts, about1935 onwards, where would that have been, it later became brincliffe art college but I don't know when.
