Grissom Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 At my place of work we're consolidating buildings and getting a new modern place. Being Civil Servants its not that swish but its a radical change from what we have now. Just seen how the other half live - have a look at the Video on this page - good god, never more than 100m from free food. What with that and the Library and fish tanks, its a wonder they get any work done So whats your office like and what perks are there ?

_Kirsty_ Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Our office isnt very relaxing, just due to the job itself. Debt Collectors never relax at work. However, the managers do a great job of keeping us motivated by setting targets and 'fun fridays' as we call it
magicaljen Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Our office pretty relaxing...though they have just put some annoyingly large plants everywhere as apparently these have a calming influence....to be honest they've made me less relaxed as I keep tripping up over them
ChrisTodd Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 I like to think our offices are pretty relaxing. We have a fish tank and art on the walls. And if that doesn't do the trick the chocolate in the fridge usually does.
babychickens Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Our office is not relaxing at all. It has sick building syndrome, and everyone in it therefore spends 90% of life feeling 80% of well. It is an oppressive and unpleasant place to work, and could feature in documentaries as an example to people starting businesses of how not to do it (not that it's a start up, but it could make a good warning). It is also managed poorly, but that is another thread altogether.
