Is comfort genetic?

I don't hug the pillow and I have one knee bent.

I tend to do the same. But I think this counteracts hypnic jerks when trying to get to sleep. (Which many ex's have mentioned that I do :suspect::hihi:)

I sleep on my front, clutching the pillow but with my legs all across the bed - it's so comfy! So I must be a freefaller. Our nipper's too young to have a particular position, he's always just done that baby sleeping pose thing with arms above his head and head on one side.

However this is interesting because I've always hated being restricted by sheets or tight sleeping bags (I even hate fitted clothes and buy them a couple of sizes too big if I can) and I used to go barmy as a child if I got tucked in - he's been the same since the day he was born, and shrieked if you dared swaddle him. He has to have those big baby sleeping bags otherwise he thrashes until the sheets come off.

We are both fidgets too. I can't keep still for a minute.

If tastes are genetic then I wouldn't be at all surprised if comfort is. My taste loves and likes tend to be along the same lines as my mother's, whereas my sister's go with my dad's. Both me and mum would rather die of dehydration than drink cola- dad and big sis love it. Me and mum really hate baked beans- dad and big sis love them. Apparently we showed these tastes well before we could have picked up from anything from their choices.

My sleeping position isn't really listed either. I sleep on my side, straight in the bed, with my arms wrapped round me. My OH likes to starfish on his front so it is very convenient that my sleeping style fits on the edge 9" of bed.

What an odd concept. I'm a yearner apparently. :confused:

It doesn't say anything about the cats forcing themselves into your arms though. I'm glad I don't sleep in the same position as them though, I couldn't afford the chiropractor's fees.

I'm a starfish :hihi::hihi:

The real reason for this is also cat related as I have to get as much bed space as possible before the perils realise I've gone to bed and come and stake their claim on the realm of mattress:hihi:
