Hi can someone help - our car has been written off by Dominos Pizza Driver! so got to get another car when was just going to drive ours til it dropped - narrowed it down to three what are the comments on:

Alfa Romeo 1.6 lusso 5 door 2003

Volvo S40 1.8i sport lux 2003

RAV4 2L 5 door basic model 2002

All on at similar prices does anyone have any recommendations? All similar mileage as well. Thanks for any recommendations.

Out of those 3 I would definitely choose the Volvo, however I can recommend looking for a diesel car as they are better on fuel and tend to last longer, and they are not slow like some people seem to think!

Alfas still fall to bits and are unreliable, RAV is pointless little 4 x 4, Volvo will run forever if you change oil regularly but check the prices as there is a big difference in SH prices. If you want a 2003 1.8s estate with all the extras that has factory fitted LPG kit, please PM me, it's not mine but I know where there is one.

I've just bought an s40 1.8se and am extreeeeemly happy with it! I specifically wanted a family car with leather seats, air-con & cruise. The s40's with cloth interior has a faceless sea of boring grey plastic trim where as mine's got a bit of plastic wood to break it up a little! My alternative was a Honda accord se executive or type-v for the leather, toys, trim & reliability. Looked at an alpha 156, very pretty car, good engine but italian electrics & not quite big enough to get my marshall amp in the boot! A rav4? Are you a girl? There's a good website, just google honest john & you will find just about anything you need to know about any potential purchase.

Take the Pizza. Not so cheap and tastes better.

we have just got a fiat grande punto 07 plate with less than 2000 on the clock, cost us 7k from the car people and it drives like a dream. it is classed as a super mini but we have had 3 grown ups in the back quite comfortably

Fiats are garbage. Won't be long until the electrics pack in and things start falling off it. Sad, but true.
