she said she was stuck in traffic, and you being in the force should know your not allowed to drive while using a mobile phone, ok she phones, but not only is her name and address given out in court so when the attackers get their fine and asbos they can seek revenge, she gets a fine for helping, i don't call that pathetic what you really meant to put, i call it common sense, if see a teenager getting beaten up and i qoute their not al the same i would turn a blind eye, since my recent attack on myself, and yes you can call it a case of i'm alright jack stuff you, all you have to thank is the do gooders, with their everything in the garden is rosey approach and ideas, for today's society's way of thinking, bring back conscription good stint in army would do them a world of good.

apologies, but im finding it hard to actualy understand your post. A person can use a mobile phone if it's an emergency, and i dont think the police or anybody else would criticize a person for calling the police from their car if they were reporting somebody being assaulted. in addition to this "special measures" can be applied at court for people that are likely to be vulnerable or intimidated witnesses, therefore securing a best evidence.

You cant just let somebody get a kicking and just stand by...thats just spineless.

Even if you think your going to get hurt in the process.........If it was you then you would want somebody to help, c'mon, think about it.|

Thats what is definately wrong with people these days.

im only 5'1 so i dont like getting involved with fights, if i see one happening i might shout something but i wouldn't want to come between the two people. My OH always steps in if he sees somebody in trouble but hes about 5'10 and goes to the gym a lot. But although he is a lot bigger, i still worry because who knows if the attacker is carrying a knife, or worse a gun?

who can't once you have been in a simular situation your perception and approach to these type of situations soon make you see things differently, never mind the special measures put in place, they are not much good once a syringe or a gun has been pointed at you for your trouble, there isn't enough resources to protect you 24/7, i would rather be a living coward than a dead hero.

Had I been walking past I probably would have said something or tried to help in some way, it was difficult the fact that I was sat in my car in traffic, I wonder what the other innocent bystanders were thinking at the time, probably the same as me, I am not the only witness and im definately not spineless, and thanks minty for sticking up for me.

Sounds the norm for pupils of Firth park school, toe rag acadamy for S5 and yet you try and tell the great and mighty headmistress of this bullying and you get total denial, perfect school etc.

You drive down sicey ave at turning out time and they're like lemmings. They deliberately walk into the path of your car:huh:

Well I never slow down, 30 of course they can play chicken but it don't wash with me. Just shows the mentality of some, they got no brains.

I would have had a go, but if you hit one of these morons then it is you that gets sued for assault, this is one of the reasons no-one helps anymore.

Yeah they never even check the road to see whether its safe to cross, I could go another way to work but why the heck should I when I live on that road and its convenient for me just to drive up and turn at the lights. Yesterday there was a lad just stood in the middle of the road pretending to direct traffic, the dozy wazzock!
