Chrikey I hope I never get beaten up by a gang of youths if its seen as the norm not to intervene.

Having said that, i guess watching someone getting kicked half to death is quite entertaining :rant:

Disgusting.

And I guess all the people at the bus stop, would have been syaying to each other after the kicking show

"goodness me, wasn't that violent? whats happening to society ? Well you know, theres nothing to do these days? .........and this would be the best one, "its shocking that no one stepped in"

No, it's usually the norm to condemn the ATTACKERS first, then ask why no one helped. Someone in the group may have called for the police, who knows? Not you or me.

I just couldnt believe what I saw, I was driving to work and had stopped along with several other vehicles as the lights were on red. At the bus stop where the Sicey Hotel used to be and there are railings around the site and this poor lad was getting kicked, stamped on, punched in the head by 2 or 3 other lads, they were really lacing into him and then the "ringleader" just casually walked away when he had done smacking this lad, people at the bus stop just stood and watched and did nothing, I think one person went up to the lad afterwards but I couldnt see properly. The lad then got up and I noticed he was wearing glasses and he was rubbing his head. What could he have possibly done to get attacked in this violent way in the middle of the day. I know that if others had got involved the lads might have turned on them. What is the world coming to!!

And you did ? .....

There's also an option 4, if enough of the passers by get involved the sub human filth will be outnumbered.

:clap:and so say all off us pal ,i for 1 would help regardless

And thats the problem with society these days.

That is the problem, waiting at a bus stop for the bus to actually come on time

Whenever my son goes out, I worry. Hes 17 and a good kid even if I do say so myself, never been in trouble or caused any, but he still stepped in and helped when he saw a man pushing and shoving a woman about. He told me about it, and me being a mum told him to be careful because he couldve turned on him too, my son said he knew that, but acted on instinct to stop anything serious happening to the woman.

These days, no-ones safe and something needs to be done about it, and quickly.

i stepped in several times over the years to help people, now i'm a copper. i think there is always a judgement call when witnessing an attack/ crime. there is a chance that you could get hurt, but personally i could never stand by and just watch a crime happen without trying to help. i'd hate to think of somebody close to me being beaten up and passers by to just ignore it/ watch without doing anything.
