Jillybabes Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 I just couldnt believe what I saw, I was driving to work and had stopped along with several other vehicles as the lights were on red. At the bus stop where the Sicey Hotel used to be and there are railings around the site and this poor lad was getting kicked, stamped on, punched in the head by 2 or 3 other lads, they were really lacing into him and then the "ringleader" just casually walked away when he had done smacking this lad, people at the bus stop just stood and watched and did nothing, I think one person went up to the lad afterwards but I couldnt see properly. The lad then got up and I noticed he was wearing glasses and he was rubbing his head. What could he have possibly done to get attacked in this violent way in the middle of the day. I know that if others had got involved the lads might have turned on them. What is the world coming to!!

Ousetunes Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 people at the bus stop just stood and watched And thats the problem with society these days. Well, yes and no. Because we all know the outcome of a member of the public intervening and trying to help. Outcome 1 The yobs turn on him and beat the crap out of him and maybe even decide to use a craft knife on him. (They may even have the pleasure of videoing the incident.); Outcome 2 The man might be bigger and have the upper hand and manage to beat the crap out of the yob(s). The latter go running to mummy who informs the police that her little cherub has been beaten up for absolutely no reason. Man gets arrested, hauled before the courts, gets a criminal record and the parasites get off scot-free. Sadly, that's the way it is and it would go a long way into determining whether I, were I standing at the bus stop, remained routed to the spot and carried on regardless. Don't blame Joe Public's lack of action; blame Mr Blair's so-called 'tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime' bull which handed all rights to the trash beating up innocent folk at the behest and damnation of the rest of us.

lee79 Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 people at the bus stop just stood and watched And thats the problem with society these days. So you think the problem lies with people not doing anything for fear of their own safety/legal outcome, and not the people who are actually doing the attacking?
Minimo Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 You don`t know that one of those in the bus queue did ring the police do you?

ridgeracer Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 I had my post deleted for suggesting something along the lines of option 4 on golden fleeces thread. But in reality option 4 is the only way forward with these scum, peoples opinions are starting to change sooner or later it will happen then the boot will not only be on the other foot it will be up the backside of the yobs
