Wayneos Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 So here goes, test is coming up, nerves are rattling and time is going so slow... So my question, which of the above test centres has a higher pass rate? I have looked on a few S.O.M websites and Middlewood Rd comes up a lot more often than Handsworth but this could of course just be a coincidence, but then again it may not be? Anyone know of a few people, say 2-3 that have had a test @ Middlewood, and 2-3 that have tested at Handsworth and if so is there a dramatic difference in their pass rate... I could of course be barking up the wrong tree and it may be the same examiners that just travel from one to the other:huh:
alchresearch Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 If you feel you need an 'easier' centre to help you pass, perhaps you're not ready for your test?
Wayneos Posted March 14, 2008 Author Posted March 14, 2008 I see where you're coming from but I am an experienced driver (I was banned), everyone is nervous before their test, please don't tell me you weren't unless of course you don't drive. It's not that I'm after a walk in the park but like I say Middlewood Rd appears to top the passes (See here, taken from just 1 source)
Miss_S_83 Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 My instrucor told me Middlewood is slightly easier as a test route, but I think mine will be at Handsworth. Mind you, if I know the roads round there better having been on them, maybe make it easier there? Who knows! Hope you get answers though :-)

I remember when I passed my test, everyone failed first time at Handsworth. (was 1991 though). In fact, I didn't know anyone that passed at Handsworth at all!! Could be an enormous coincidence though. Of course, I don't buy into all that rubbish*. *take it at Middlewood matey
scarby Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 I'd pick one based on your knowledge of the area, as you'll know in advance on if your coming up to a junction, or bend etc.

He told me, all the instructors take you Wisewood, so we shall do ALL our lessons in Wisewood. Guess where I got taken

*_ash_* Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Gleadless? Gleadless? pfffft, easy peasy. I was a bit miffed when I pulled up on Doe Royd, to do my reverse parking, when the car I pulled up alongside got nicked, and drove off. :hihi:
