Yes, wasnt that a t.v. play ? We want something cheerful though dont we ? I think Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck would be ideal as Purdy says.I feel they were both at their peak when the film was made.

also not that it was great but re-enacting a war time picture house night.. so those of us who wasnt around during the war years, so we could see how our grandparents/parents etc spent their ha'penny etc..

charge war time prices and provide typical 1940's food at the same price too. id love to go!!

What about some of the great American musicals : Seven Brides For Seven Brothers. : Carousel : Singing In The Rain : Call Me Madam. The days when you came out of the cinema singing the songs you had just heard on the silver screen.

I'd certainly take the kids to see something like Pinocchio or the one with the two brothers who find a baby, a scottish film.. All I can remember is one brother saying "it's my baabby, harry"

 

For me.. I'd go to any old film that was shown there as I love old films.
