Col2k5 Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Hi .. Iam after an ICYBOX NAS4220-B external caddy ... does anyone know any computer shops in sheffield that may have them ..? Thanx Col..
steev Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 You'd be lucky, if you find any kind of hard drive caddies in any PC shop they'd be more likely to be USB.
Col2k5 Posted March 14, 2008 Author Posted March 14, 2008 This is the one iam wanting ... ICYBOX Col ..
steev Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I know what it is, you ain't going to find one in any old PC shop in Sheffield, & not in any that caters for the home market. If you really can't order online for some reason your best bet would be seeing if one of these places has a trade counter. If you really want a NAS box today I've got a couple of slightly sworn-at Netgear SC101's you could have pretty cheaply, but they're absolute crap on anything other than a Windows network.
Col2k5 Posted March 14, 2008 Author Posted March 14, 2008 Theres a local Computer shop here in Barnsley that sells them but when i called he said he had a recall on his last lot ..something to do with wrong fuses in them .. but he says he wont be getting anymore until next week ... Just wondered if anywhere in Sheffield had any .. Col ..
Col2k5 Posted March 14, 2008 Author Posted March 14, 2008 LambdaTek do I believe. Thanx .. i will give them a try tomorrow ... Col ..

mr chris Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 I got mine from Scan.co.uk, as they were honestly the cheapest! Even after delivery it was about a tenner difference from the nearest competitor. If you do buy one, make sure it has a 3amp fuse, as some were shipped with 5amp ones, which is bad and wrong. I've got to admit, it's a nifty piece of kit. Bit noisy at times, though. Still, it's in my office and not my bedroom, so the general hustle and bustle of the working day covers it up. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions!
