anniec Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Hi all, Had no access to the internet for 6 weeks! been a nightmare to be honest. Well here goes, I had several false starts with labour and due to the baby being breech they booked me into try to have her turned. I arrived and her bum was fully engaged so they didn't even attempt it. They booked me in for a C-Section on Monday 17th March. I had a really bad cold and was in bed the whole week before and at my pre-op at the hosp on the Thurs (13th) they said my blood press was high and booked the community mw to come see me the next morning. When she arrived on the Fri morning she said my bp was fine but the baby's heartrate was too high - 190 bpm so she sent me to Jessops, they confirmed her heart was beating too fast but it settled, they checked me anyway and I had started to dilate - only 1cm but due to her being breech they had to take me for a C-Section that day as they couldn't risk me fully dilating and trying to deliver her bum first. They told me to ring my husband as they time had come, he got there pretty fast and Scarlett Rose was born on Friday 14th March at 14:36pm weighing a tiny 7lb 6.5oz. As most of you will know I had a bit of a mare pregnancy and having a C-Section was they very worst thing for me but to be honest, It really wasn't that bad. The staff at Jessops were wonderful, kept both me and my oh fully informed and made it as good of an experience as was possible. It's been hard up till now, I'm sore but i am doing better than anyone expected and my mw can't believe just how OK I've been since having her. I haven't got a lead for the digital camera so I'll post pics as soon as I get to ASDA to put them onto disc. Thanks for asking about me Anne xx
