Tickets for the Sept 16th gig are available by phone TODAY (13th Mar).... despite everywhere else (including the arena's own website:loopy:) saying they don't go on sale until 9am tomorrow!

There are going to be some very disappointed people queuing at the arena tomorrow expecting to get decent seats..when all the best blocks will have sold out already!!

There's a pre-sale today -- tix are available on-line too.

What exactly is a 'pre-sale'??

And where online please GuitarChick (just out of interest - I have my tix already :D)?

Pre-sales are limited to people who're members of certain clubs... whether it's American Express cardholders, O2 subscribers, fan clubs etc etc. Quite often I've seen crap tix in the pre-sales because the promotors think people will buy them anyway believing them to be the best available.

In this case Live Nation are running the pre-sale for the 4 mainland UK shows. Nickelback have a fan club but they're not getting a pre-sale.

The box-office were selling them to anyone though

Regarding the allocation, I assume ticket agencies buy up certain blocks. Do you know which agency gets which?

:P:D @ Levanthian!

Lol, actually they're very good in concert! Saw them here back in 2002.

To be honest I don't go to that many gigs at the arena (prefer more intimate venues), and I only go there if I'm guaranteed a good view. Anything at the back is a waste of time as far as I'm concerned.

However I've booked a few tix over the past year, and noticed that the arena themselves only seem to offer certain blocks.

I was just curious whether the 'better' blocks were routinely available solely from particular ticket agencies or whatever, just for future reference.

Also whether going down in person to the box-office made any difference to what blocks were available.

Saves a lot of money if you pay in cash, but I wouldn't want to queue for ages to be disappointed...
