Have you ever bought something - and then not been able to work out what is was?

Whilst in the process of disinterring the furniture in the parlour, I came across a packet of cream coloured fabric things from Ikea! The packet label said "Iris". At first I thought I'd bought another cream throw but, when I opened the packet, I discovered several oblong objects.

 

After a little while puzzling and peering at the label, I finally worked out that they were tea towels!!

 

Anybody else have that sort of "senior moment"?

I once bought some toothpaste in a tub and it turned out to be denture fixture. Funny thing is I used it for 2 days before realising.

Ikea is such a horrible place- you end up with stuff that is completely different to how you remembered it in the shop. I'm still wondering what to do with my mile-long transparent curtains. If only the voices hadn't told me to buy all that rubbish

I ASKED for a slice of 'biscuit cake' at a pie and cake shop once, and didn't open the bag until some hours later, and found that the dunderhead behind the counter had sold me a large cherry scone...

What a disappointment- scones are such a waste of ingredients.
