discodown Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Wouldn't life be simpler if we got rid of mobile phones? I resisted getting one at first when they started to get really popular but to no avail. I now obviously have one and really wish I didn't. Maybe my cynicism of the world is getting the better of me but I would love to be able to switch it off and lead life at my own pace. I suppose my gripe is not with mobiles exactly more that life seems to be passing me by and all the things that I want to get done I can't (of course less time on SF might help!). But still, mobies, should we live without them?
melthebell Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 i have one...eventually i only really use it as a glorified watch tho only have 3 numbers on it and ones our home phone lol i never give anybody the number (i dont know the number) takes me about an hour to write a text, and takes me ages to find the bit to find out how much ive got on the account my account is...........£5 odd and ive had the phone someat like 8 months with just one £10 on it i HATE phones
wwcrazy Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 as a parent to two teenagers I think it's a godsend:) calls on it rarely last more than 20 seconds and a tenner top up lasts a couple of months.

It's one of those things - like the tumble dryer - that I seldom use but wouldn't be without.
