CHEAP antivirus software2008? any idead/reccomendations?

any one know any antivirus software on offer at the momernt that you can reccommend as mine runs out in a month

Only thing I'll say is don't buy Norton. Might be worth posting in the Computer section too?

hi try avast or avg they are both free and you can run both together if you like works for me

and free anti spyware Spybot SD most likely.

Use AVAST its free and ive had it on for years without getting anything on my pc.

 

DONT touch nortons with a barge pole. it slows your pc down to a crawl and is more like a virus than tho's it finds. install and uninstall it and have a look at the state of the registry after, it leaves more crap than a community of gypsies

if you read post i put on avast did badly in alot of the recent tests this months wasnt to bad but last load have been really bad.

 

Use ANTIVIR its never bad check the results

and the "great" avg got a laughable 25%

and linux doesnt exactly need antiviruses has a unix based system and no registry there are a very small number of viruses and the actually core removes them
