Anybody heard anything about getting the camping section?

I'm not really sure if it should be a point of debate. The knitting group, for example, was established on a suggestion to Geoff (when he dealt with it directly) who issued the instruction to submit a proposal based on potential interest amongst the forummers, suggested topics, group purpose etc etc. Once that proposal was submitted by the potential group leader, it was a matter of waiting patiently for it to be considered.

 

I don't think the constant badgering will make the group materialise any quicker, if it's to materialise at all. If the system still works in the way it did when the groups section was established, and a potential group leader has worked on a group proposal and submitted it to Geoff via LindsayW, then that's really all that you can do.

I'm not even a Sheffielder . I'm just providing a little information concerning how the groups are/were established on the assumption that those who initially proposed the camping group have already submitted the idea and related information to Geoff/LindsayW.

As far as I'm aware Geoff/LindsayW have been made aware of the interest in the camping group so it's just a question of sitting tight and waiting for a response from them.
