Do You Agree With The BBC ? This Is Our Money

The BBC used to run an excellent series of informational webpages, which appear to have been largely scrapped. I would rather the £500,000 had been used to reinstate the web pages, as I miss them.

The people (or at least, some of the people) who run informational webpages as a commercial venture, objected very strongly to the BBC being allowed to do so with public money. It's a distortion on the market.

I don't necessarily agree with this argument, but it's the reason those pages aren't there any more. Financial constraints were not the cause.

I'm more concerned with how much it's costing to launch a free news channel for Africa and the Middle East:

The last time I checked, these countries don't pay any TV licence fees.

So who pays the £25 MILLION a year?

If its the same as BBC world that is shown in thailand then i would say that it would be paid for by all the adverts that are shown.
