Unregistered   10 #74 Posted April 23, 2008 . . . On 23 APRIL 2008 Unleaded petrol cost 18 percent more than it did on 23 APRIL 2007.  That's a fact.  Same kind of petrol - same Sheffield petrol station. . . .
 Share this content via...
Unregistered   10 #75 Posted April 24, 2008 Anyone want to swap a bag of rice for a full tank of fuel ???
 Share this content via...
moneyworries   10 #76 Posted April 24, 2008 all stations I've driven past today showing £108.9. Gone up 3p a litre this week.  So what we gonna do about it - Nothing, we'll just pay it like all the other over taxed essentials in this country.  I think there are very interesting times ahead!!! phawley   10 #77 Posted April 24, 2008 I've just had a spam email from someone in the States advertising a product to save on fuel. Believe it or not they are complaining about paying $4 a gallon for petrol, THAT'S £2 !!!   RIP OFF BRITAIN!!
 Share this content via...
bazjea   10 #78 Posted April 24, 2008 Does anyone honestly think that the price of fuel would drop if there was a change of government in the Uk. The wholesale price of fuel on the world market is at an whole time high. Until OPEC decide among themselves to put more fuel into the system, it will carry on rising. Ref  What deposits do we have in the chinese economy?
 Share this content via...
Unregistered   10 #81 Posted April 24, 2008 Available oil in the world will run out sooner than we think.  No sensible oil producing country will keep selling oil until the last drop runs out, they'll hang on to plenty of oil for their own future consumption.  We ain't seen nothing yet. . . . Unregistered   10 #82 Posted April 24, 2008  Does anyone honestly think that the price of fuel would drop if there was a change of government in the UK ?  No - the Nasty Party are still a Nasty Party behind the scenes.  The Labour Party have done much better than any Nasty Party would have done over the past decade. . . . upinwath   10 #83 Posted April 25, 2008 Yes this is interesting because the tax here per liter is about 12 cents, so that makes the price of the actual gas at 91 cents per liter or 45 pence.  Here it's about 25p/L - Allowing for transport costs that still means the the government is taking a fat bite out of your ass when you fill up.
