Got some of those Instant Porridge sachets in the cupboard, but I've lost the detailed instructions Mum pinned on the Fridge for how to make it! :help:

Can anyone tell me how to make Porridge, there's only so much Weetabix even I can eat every morning! :loopy:

If you microwave them you need to add a good half pint of milk and microwave on full for about 2 mins, stir well then about 2 more mins, it needs covering or it will boil over :)

You can microwave it Rich. Just for a minute or so. Leave it to cool for 1 minute. If the result is a bit sticky, add a bit more cool milk.

You then get a mixture of hot porridge and cool milk on your tongue as you spoon it in. A delicious contrast.

Thanks Moonbird.

Also, I doubt I'd use quite so much sugar on them, partly for the fact that I don't take sugar in my tea or coffee so I don't really have it, I just buy sweeteners for when I have company that does have sugar in their tea or coffee.
