Speed Dates Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Hi We already have a plumber lined up to fit our new bathroom but we have yet to buy the bath, toilet and wash basin. Can anyone recommend anywhere to go and buy them from? We don't want to go mega cheap but don't want something massively expensive. Many thanks.
jl-heating Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 rhs stavely. they have an excellent showroom and in stavely chesterfield..
ChrisTPS Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I agree with John. Excellent range, quality stuff, and reasonable prices. The staff are really helpful too.
MTheo Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 or alternatively ask the plumber to recommend something, after all he is fitting it and it may side step you potentially buying something that is not suited to the space you have to work with.
dan2802 Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 How about http://www.bathstore.com? NO, NO & THRICE NO!
ChrisTPS Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Purely my opinion of Bathstore: 1. Well layed out showroom, and good looking bath ware. BUT - When I've asked them technical questions about the stuff they've sold, they haven't had the answers in my experience. I avoid choosing bathroom suites for customers because tastes differ. The best bet is to look at brochures/showrooms, decide what you want, then get 2 or 3 quotes. Get the installer to supply. He makes a profit, but you don't have the problem if there are any faults.
jl-heating Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 dont use bathstore, the quality is horrendous. lift a toilet up and show it to a window you can straight through the pot, sinks and pedestals are twisted, cradles for the baths flimsy.. cheap is not always cheerfull.

Also be very careful ordering stuff off eBay. The are generally very cheaply made in China or Turkey with poor quality non standard fittings that make it a nightmare for fitters.
