Sara1312 Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Does anyone know how much they get paid and what the job entails? - Just curious
Miss_S_83 Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Clinical Support Workers get paid about £11-£12k p/a I think, I did it for all of a few days last year but forgot exact wages. Job can be different depending on what dept.- why don't you visit the NHS website or look on http://www.sth.nhs.uk under the jobs section (think it comes under nursing though) and see?
zippy Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 most CSW jobs are Agenda for change band 2 or band 3 the role involving carrying out basic nursing care under the direction of a registered Nurs, in some settings there may also be other additional 'techncial ' roles such as taking blood etc... pay rates band 2 Basic 12.5 k - 15.5 k , band 3 14.5 k -17 k this exlcudes unsocial hours payments ( for working after 2000 hours or at weekends)
bobbyblade Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 yes band 2 average 12,500 pa, though some areas quote band 3 (2 grand more) what does it entail, basically helping someone with difficulty to live a normal a life as possible. i work with learning disabilities and we do everyhing we can for them yet letting them be independent as possible. enjoyable? yes it can be, go onto nhs careers site and there may be jobs available.
