vikki Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 does anyone know a pet shop that sells a locking dog collar similar to this http://www.outdoorgear.co.uk/eshop.asp?wci=product&wce=54304601&desc=DOGLOCK+LOCKING+LEASH i love the i think the idea is great and would love one.
vikki Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 it works as a lead but if you want to tie your dog up while up nip in the shop it make loops and makes a collar and then loops round a post and locks so that no one can unclip or attempt to steal your dog.
pinklady Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 oh, like a canine bike chain, ... what a good idea
vikki Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 similar to that my friend had one at pooch trainning last night but she got it offline i just wondered if anyone had seen them in a shop.
Lotti Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I haven't been able to find them in the shop at all... I'd recommend having a look at the petloc too as they are slightly different. The problem I found with the DogLock is that the padlock goes close to the dog's neck when you tie them up and it seems quite uncomfortable, also the locking part is separate on the DogLock and I've lost it! I think the Petloc is all built in. However -you can alter the collar size on the DogLock and not on the petloc. Good luck finding one - I haven't been able to find them in the shops yet.
katkin Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 it works as a lead but if you want to tie your dog up while up nip in the shop it make loops and makes a collar and then loops round a post and locks so that no one can unclip or attempt to steal your dog. I havent seen one in the shops but I'm sure training solutions online did them -and Ive ordered stuff from there before and theyve been reliable and quick. Try doggiesolutions.co.uk too I thought about one for Ailsa but then decided notto leave her unaccompanied anywhere because she always becomes a magnet from youngsters or youths and I was worried she'd either be accused of nipping one or be goaded into nipping one...
vikki Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 i think they are a great idea at least i can nip for some milk or bread on my way back from walkies if i had one instead of coming home and then going out again.
