Traffic light Cameras

I accidently got stuck in the buslanes near the wicker the other day, I've just had a terrible thought that those effing cameras that were in the star might have got me? Is it just a fine or is it points aswell anyone know?

I see people hopping red lights constantly in Sheffield, more than any other place I've driven. Hardly surprising since the lights around the center seem to stop you at every junction.

It is a shame that I have to teach my children that a 'green man' does not mean 'cross now'.

 

It now means 'look to see if the cars have stopped' ... and then cross.

Like if you was to walk up to one wi a bucket of black paint & daub it on the front like, would it cure the cash cow camera?

It does mean stop but the law is not enforced when the light is amber and no matter how observant you reckon to be you can't stop in a fraction of a second if you are a few feet from the line which is why amber is there.

If some innocent family had their car T boned at traffic lights, they'd want a camera.

Yes it is because you are going through on red if part of the vehicle has still to cross the line, it doesn't just work on the front, it is possible for a car coming the other way on green to hit the back of your car as well as the front.
