JoeP Â Â 11 #73 Posted March 26, 2008 Did anyone on here dial into a X25 network to get to a system called QSD ( somewhere in France I think - google it!! ) back in the 80's ?? Â I used BT Packet Switch system in the 1980s / 1990s to access The WELL in the US - that was a great site. I think it still runs but I'm no longer a member. Â The WELL was one of the first online communities - seemed to be occupied by a great many 'Deadheads' and other denizens of San Francisco! Fantastic people. andco   10 #77 Posted March 27, 2008 That sounds very interesting and tempting, I must say. I may well be joining you StarSparkle  I was inspired to do a google search on philosophy forums and the following link has pages of links to many philosophy forums, so much so that I feel spoiled for choice.  http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=Philosophy%20Forums&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8  From what I've seen of a quick skim they seem to be really contained, balanced and measured. Discussions are incredible and consolidates my belief that something's awry here.  Could get lost in there forever sooo very tempting - if I'm not back by Sunday perhaps you could organise a search party. Tony   10 #78 Posted March 27, 2008 As for philosophy I don't think that SF will be especially enlightening unless you wish to study the material further.
 Share this content via...

I quite like the look of this one, it looks fairly new. scottcave   10 #84 Posted October 18, 2008 I've just joined this forum after finally mastering blogging, etc. not very good with computers other than Microsoft Office!!!! - much to the dismay of my brother-in-law who is an IT specialist and keeps on at me that I am so behind the times and not taking part in online communication!!!!!  Anyway, I've looked at other forums and this one seems to be run very professionally, is deigned well and is easy to use. Obviously it is very popular, covers local interests, helps local people, and thats good enough for me!
 Share this content via...
