deelightful3 Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 On saturday night some little scroats decided to go up and down our road taking off wing mirrors,i now need to get one fixed, urgently, can anyone give me an idea how much this will cost to repair and any usefull phone numbers for me to ring, they have taken the mirror out and there is no back plate so you can see the motor, this car is only 2 yrs old,any advice is most welcome
steveh Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 Scrap yard would be the cheapest option. Wing mirrors are normally attached via a couple of bolts and maybe a plug type connector if they're the electric type. It's really easy to do. Any garage would be able to do it for you if you don't want to pay dealer prices. You can also get copy parts from motor factor places that are often as good and a lot cheaper.
Hypnolady Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I had someone break mine off my Punto a while ago. I ordered a replacement one from the garage I use, St Christophers at Oughtibridge. Mine was black as opposed to colour coded so cost about £80 fitted, could be as much as double that if you need to match the colour I was told.
Weathergirl Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 If you still have it on warrenty won't cost a thing! Unless not then it will cost a bit. I love my grande punto, had to take it a few times with my sensors but didn't cost me with still being my 1 year warrenty, now im hoping nothing will go wrong *fingers crossed*
shazzamattazza Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 I recentley needed my passenger side wing mirror replacing on my Punto, and I went to Jupiter garage, just off Woodseats Road. They supplied & fitted mine for £53, it is a manual stalk type not electric and its plain Black but I think that price was very reasonable. Give them a call 255 3554 I know they are a bit away from hillsbro' butthey were very good.

willman Posted March 10, 2008 Posted March 10, 2008 You can buy replacement glass/mirror from Halfords or motor suppliers which just stick back in the plastic surround.
