Showdown 3 Kickboxing Results

Recommended Posts

1.John Crawley (Sheffield Academy) Vs Jack Stephenson (KOKORO)

Winner Jack Stephenson on split decision.

There were times when John nearly stopped Jack, the height difference was amazing. John looked like he needed my chair to stand on ;)

I personally would have gone for the local lad due to the more telling blows but perhaps the taller kokoro fighter made the kick count?

2. Paul Randle (st Georges ) Beat James Wilson (sheffield student) BY TKO Round 2.

Paul Randle dropped James twice in the 1st round and finished him off in the 2nd.

James showed a lot of heart but paul was simply too sharp and too strong.

3.Chloe Taylor (marsdens) Beat Maggie Dunbavin due to superior kicking ability. Chloe landed a lot of fancy high kicks to the head including the famous "brazilian kick".

4.DEMO BOUT

Wajid had a demo bout with Arron Bothamley

Arron showed much improvement and Waj looked more like a boxer than a kickboxer (claudes comment)

5.Ashley Duxbury (KOKORO) Beat Ged Potts (Buxton lau gar) by decision.

Ashley used his right body kick more effectively against the buxton brawler.

6.DEMO BOUT

Lethal Leif aged 16 Vs Kerry Louise Norbury

Good demo bout from 2 A class fighters.

7.THE FIGHT OF THE NIGHT!!!!

WHAT A WAR!!!

Both simon marsden and Adam Lawrence can hold their heads up high, it was one hell of an exchange.

Adam just took the decision.

8.DEMO BOUT

John Dyson Vs Big guy from manchester

John Dyson looked in control and showed good boxing skill.

9.Scot Sykes Vs Alix James

This was an excellent fight until disaster struck in the last round

(dont ask me what happened i missed the controversial blow.)

The fight was stopped and went to the judges score cards

the scores were:

Scot = 40-39, Alix = 39-38, and DRAW 38-38

Even though this would normally point to a draw, it was taken to what was anounced as "judges comments" and the fight given to Alix James.

10. Marlon Hunt powered his way to victory in a 12 round decision over Wayne Homeboy turner for the number one spot.

Thank you to Adrian Abdulla and Hussain Shafique for their warmth , hospitality and for seeing to my every need.

Thank you guys and look forward to working with you guys soon.

The Scott Sykes fight was a very good one, but the kick did seem to hit Scott across the hips. His knee hit one hip as the shin hit the other. Low but not a groin shot. Good night out...but needed some food there for the paupers to eat!!!!:hihi:

Thanks to Aidrian for the hospitality.

The demo between Kerry Louise and Lief was excellent, as entertaining as many of the full contact fights, so much skill on display in both the full contact and K1 sections of the bout.

Enjoyed Scott Skyes' fight, although the end wasn't what anyone would have wanted or predicted. Thought Scott was doing enough to win it against a heavier opponent, outboxing him and have to admit I thought the kick was low at the time but it's obviously hard to tell from distance.

Never experienced a fight going to judges' comments before.

World title fight was entertaining, shame so many had left by the final round as both fighters put in so much effort.

Also a shame Joe McGovan didn't get to fight, would have been another entertaining bout, even if only for a minute like his previous bouts.
