Hiya mate,

Sometimes we all go through the 'Life is ballsed up, miserable, and a whole mess' thing. About 10 years ago I went through a year or so of absolute Hell - even now I only know what happened in parts of it because I kept a diary. :(

I'd apply 'JoeP's Rule of Fed Up Thinking', which states that any thinking you do in the small hours (say 01:00 to 04:00) is almost certainly messed up and is seeing the world too sadly. If it's any consolation I occasionally experience a slight down feeling late Saturday night / early Sunday morning - I don't know why, but it does.

Sometimes the advice given by generations of mothers works well - a cup of tea and it will seem better after a night's sleep.

Not much to offer to help, M^rk, but rest assured that you're not alone in feeling a bit down on the night watch; but it will feel a bit better in the morning.

Take care, God bless.

Mark, everyone feels like that at sometime in their lives, unfortunately, life is like a game of Snakes & Ladders, so there are times when we shake the dice and start again, or the other option is to stop playing altogether, keep your chin up mate, the feelings don't last forever.

I second what JoeP said - especially about the 1.00-4.00am thinking. I think everybody is at their lowest during these hours and things get really negative.

I know you've had a hard time lately, love, but really you're not alone and things will get better, I promise.

Take care.

Im usually annoyingly upbeat but even I have these night thoughts, where the bad things rise up to haunt us.

I suppose its natural, not nice, but natural.

I wish I could make it easier for you, I really do.

I had been feeling a bit low just recently mate, but things have just started looking up for me after a long run of bad luck. Keep your head up and I'm sure you will be fine too.

M^rk, as others have said, we all feel like this sometimes, if that's any consolation. I try to have a re-run of positive/nice things that have happened during the day to focus on. Today, for instance, would feature, a lovely phone call I had from a relative, someone I used to work with giving me a hug, Barnsley winning Chelsea and the faces of their supporters, as they celebrated after the match, meeting old friends in the pub, the pleasure you get from helping a friend out, etc. After reflecting on the positive for a while, you can't help but experience a lift in your mood. If I were you, my positive reflections would definitely have to feature the amazing Star article, that wouldn't have happened without you, how proud you should be of such a beautiful family, as seen by everyone who got the Star this week, the knock-on effect of your article, ie hundreds of other families who feel that they're not suffering alone, and might now be inspired to do something posiitive out of their tragedy, like you, the impact also that you've had on other forum users, and judging by the response to this thread, at this time on a Sunday morning, that must be quite an impact. xxx

:smile:Big hug M^rk.

Can only second what previous posters have said. It's important to talk to someone when you're feeling crap, rather than internalising it.

Thanks everyone for your Kind words:)

As many of you well know I have been through the Mill & Back this past Year & the last thing that i wanted was to have a fall out with my other Halfs Family but of course that has Happened.:(
