Do You Like Spiders?

I don't mind them at all and always put them outside if I see one in the house - unless it's huge; then I get someone else to do it. Some of them are a bugger to catch though, especially those jumping ones.

My ex was terrified of spiders, so one day after a bit of a disagreement, I caught a massive one and trapped it in an upturned pint glass in the bathroom doorway. Off I went to work knowing that she would have to wait nearly 10 hours for a wee as there's no way she'd go past it! Was that wrong? (:hihi:)

The other sort I flush down the plughole.

I don't hate them, but if there's a big one in my room it's going out the window before i go to bed. They're not as bad as moths or daddy long legs. They don't go out the window, they get smeared across my wall.

As I stated earlier in a post, my oldest daughter loves spiders and lots of other insects. I remembered a funny story..... a common house spider built a web in the corner of her bedroom just above her bed and she wouldn't allow me to remove it. She wanted her "friend" to stay.....she was about 3 or 4 at the time.

Some spiders are truly beautiful, St Andrews Cross, Golden Orb etc but I don't like to be touched by one Or their webs.

Do I dislike them? No.

 

Fascinating little creatures... amazing that with such tiny brains they can actually co-ordinate all their limbs!

The thing I like about spiders is when you turn the lights on and they run across the floor, they always stop mid way. Its as if they're thinking

 

"Hang on, have I left the iron plugged in?"

 

And then they carry on they're merry little way:)

i dont mind tarantulas even held one a couple of times but dont like the big house spiders :S
