garethb Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Story here Oh well, I'll just have to put the bunting, balloons and flags back in their boxes for a little while longer.
lazyherbert Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 I do not drink but I will have a pint,or 2 when she snuffs it the evil old bat.
Pighills Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 You may not like her politics but people deserve respect in death (except people who are truly evil iykwim). Personally speaking I thought she did a lot of good (some bad too but we can't all get it right). One of the greatest things she did was be a woman AND be Prime Minister!!!!!!!!!
pk014b7161 Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 shame on you a pint or two, a full blown session for me
wolfstalin Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 I do not drink but I will have a pint,or 2 when she snuffs it the evil old bat. I haven't been drunk in many many years, but when she gets sent to hell don't expect me to post for a week or so, cause I'll be on one heck of a bender.
Tarquin Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Reports of scuffles breaking out amongst Doctors trying to be the first to switch off life support were last tonight denied..."
Fareast Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 As Lady Thatcher [ aka The Baroness with the Heart of Gold ] gently fades, I'm sure many of the stony-hearts on S.F. will repent and turn the other cheek. As they think of her, rather like Britannia or Joan of Arc, leading Britain into war against the Argentinians in those glorious far-off days, surely they will hang their heads in shame at their strong language and their unseemly gloatings. When the time comes for ' Our Lady of the Granthams ' to depart, I often wonder what her final words or thoughts will be ? " Goodbye, Arthur. You were a worthy foe " or " So-long, you Yorkshire pillock. You played right into my hands. Hahahaha ! " For, let us not forget how she saved Westminster from a take-over by the S.Yorks Soviets. Let us not forget how she made quite ordinary, otherwise skint proletariat into wealthy property tycoons. Finally, let us not forget how she liberated the whole of E.Europe and Russia and led Gorbachops by the lug-hole, whimpering and screaming to the negotiation table. She also kept giving good ol' Ronald R. a firm kick up the jacksie and thus preserved world peace, en passant.
Don_Kiddick Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 I think we could do with another strong Thatcher character type in power now instead of these self serving bleating apollogists we keep getting shackled with recently.
cressida Posted March 8, 2008 Posted March 8, 2008 Personally I always admired her work ethic, which was greater than the other MPs especially the ones in her cabinet, working way into the night - not sure if Dennis appreciated it, that's not to say I agreed with her all her policies
