Great idea - and I bet if you keep searching - there will be other sites and forums you can link up to.

As you get rolling, send us a link and we will put you up on our site.

Staffy's need all the help they can get for people to understand them and treat them right.

I would say you could do with highlighting where the local training classes are that will accept them, where theshow classes or ringcraft classes, or walks in company to socialise the staffs.

Staffies are never a problem if they are socialised from puppies. Its just the isolated ones that end up causing problems.

What about doing an 'agility for staffies' classes. These guys have so much bounce and energy - they would lick those collies into shape any day.

ignoring the confusion and sticking with the original topic....

... that sounds like a fab idea :)

but on a cautionary note, do you have experience in how to weed out cloaked fighting discussions? :suspect:

I was browsing round Piczo after reading a thread about teenagers in S20, and came across way too many pages by supposed staffie owners, where the dogs were WAY bigger than I'd have expected, and often described as 'game' :suspect:

cheers for your support strix and people who fight dogs are cowards and scum and yes the term GAME is a term used in dog fighting. My SBT site is a family run site for staffy's and there owners

to come together for walks out information and advice regarding all things staffy.

Good luck with it Scorpio :)

If ever there was a breed needed more support, its staffs :(

churned out by the 1000's, often unregistered and with little thought behind the breeding, then sold to unsuitable owners and the rest is history (As im sure RR etc will agree :()

Yours at least seems to have landed on her feet, and hope you make a go of your forum.

All breed forums come with pitfalls, I own/run one and our main issue is weeding out the puppy farmers and BYB brigade. you have the added issue strix has mentioned.

Only advice I would give is be sure to recruit some good, sensible moderators/admin and keep a close eye on who's signing up. I do a periodic 'cleanup' of my forum, once a month or so, whereby members we are not sure about are removed. We can justify this as members joining my forum are required to read and agree to the forum rules within 30 days, many do not, so are automatically removed after that period.

I wanna clear this issuse up for people who wanna judge me as a "bad" person

I rehomed keisha to a women who lived in manor (her and my other dog weren't getting along) and after less than 48hrs decided she couldn't cope with her because she didn't listen to her and had an accident in the house (bare in mind she was only 5months old) I offered to take the dog back but she wanted £100 cash for her

She said if she hadn't managed to sell her in 3 days time she was going to put her in the pound, I ended up falling out with this women and she cut all contact with me, I've shed more than a few tears over keisha and felt terrible guilt and have been worried sick over what happened to her :(

I also have 2 rescue dogs of my own and i am a responsible owner

Tara my staffy x puppy would be in the pound right now if she wasn't with me and as we all know staffys are difficult to rehome and need all the help they can get
