Silly drunken mistakes

You coward!

Ok, fell asleep on a traffic island in some remote village. Woke up early hours wondering where the hell I was.

Could go on, but I dont think it would be advisable.

Come on WYorksDeano, whats yours? :P

Mine?? Christ I have got loads!!

Think the one that hurt the most was when I was 19 and actually fell through an empty shop window!!! Ended up with 16 stiches in leg, 20 in back. But believe me I sobbered up bloody quick when I saw it. First I thought it was a scratch so walked up to my mates, sat on the flat steps and had a look, his lass phoned for the ambulance and I even made a copper that came out pass out because I was playing with this so called scratch. The fact that you could see the bone never bothered me.

Another one was when I had had a few drinks in Sheffield and decided to get the train home........and woke up in Newcastle

I drove and knocked a child over once, I killed it. Is that the sort of mistake you want?

Luckly I could still get a train back to Leeds. But it wasn't funny at the time. Then again when you see someone on the train doing exactly the same thing you can't help but laugh

I once ran into a windowsill, broke my nose and cracked my head open and enraged, I pulled the window out of the wall.

There is no way I'd be able to pull a window out of a wall now. Drunken superhuman strength!

I did some stupid things as a teenager whilst drunk, but eventually I realised that this was not how I wanted to be seen (and if I'd have carried on then the mistakes were likely to kill me in the short term) so I stopped drinking and had no alcohol at all for over 10 years. These days I drink occasionally but rarely have more than one drink (which may include up to 3 units of alcohol). I'm usually asleep before I could start drink number 2.

Isn't our society strange that we find damaging things, endangering others and getting injured something good to have a laugh about?
