Alice in Wonderland in 3D - 8/10

The white queen annoyed the hell out of me and there were a couple of bits that made me cringe.

Shutter Island -- brilliant performance by Mr DiCaprio & Mark Buffalo. Mark's character totally had me fooled. The start of the film was really slow in parts & the annoying music gave me the jeeper creepers at times & took me wright back to my childhood when I used to think the bogey man existed (shameful, I know). Then I got confused midway through the film then got back on track (phew). Not really surprised at the ending it was kind of predictable.

All in all a good film that good have been shortened. I am really surprised Leo has not got an Oscar for the films he does. He is very talented & I am always bought in by the character's he plays.

I would give this film 4/5 :)

Män som hatar kvinnor (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) - 8/10

That's a weird translation of "Men who hate women".

Last watched District 9 - splendid, but flawed. 7.5/10

Shutter Island 8/10 - Within the first 5 minutes I had more or less sussed out the twist, and it was confirmed at the first dream sequence moment. However the performances were stunning, and Scorcese directed it with his usual skilled style, so I simply sat back and enjoyed the tale being told. Ben Kingsley and Leo DiCaprio played off against each other beautifully.

Gi Joe. About as a good as a film based on Gi Joe was ever likely to be. 5/10.

Orphan. Well acted & smartly directed evil kid horror/thriller. Had it sussed within 10 seconds of the Orphan appearing on screen cos I'm smart like that. Film actually works better and is more sinister when you are aware of what is going on. 7/10.
