I can see exactly why you are always last to be served :hihi:

OK simple question , who do you think should be in the driving seat! the customer who pays the landlords wages, or the landlord?

The pub in Woodseats high st has boards up now and The Norton has stopped taking debit cards ( always a bad sign as it may be down to the bank restricting availability of credit)

Sadly just found out The Crown at Totley is closing down on the 31st Jan.

Sad loss to live music on Tuesday nights.

Phil the Landlord has only been there a year but rent and rates are crippling him and has decided to call it a day.

Great pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord too:mad:

Bradway has reopened.

The Tuesday night music from the Crown MAY move to the Castle Inn at Bradway.

The Cherry Tree on Carterknowle Road has not opened today. No one who was in there yesterday was given any indication that it was closing

I blame the ban on **** fighting. There was a time when a hard working bloke could relax in a pub of a nighttime with a glass of ale and watch a **** fight. Now this namby pamby nanny state has banned **** fighting and pubs are closing as a result.
