Runningman Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 I have only vague memories of the location, that is walking past with my parents in the early 50's and whilst at Newfield School adjacent to the farm. During art lessons we would sit on the edge of the sports field overlooking the place and sketch the farm machinery no longer in use. Some questions regarding this location. When exactly was it demolished. Who were the last residents. What mains services did it have ( Gas, piped water, electricity ) Does anyone know if any photos are available. Was it arable, dairy or both.
Runningman Posted March 2, 2008 Author Posted March 2, 2008 There is a picture of the farm on the Picture Sheffield site, where it is also referred to as Fawcetts Farm. I seem to remember my Mom calling it Clarkes Farm, but I'm not 100% sure of that ! There is no date given alongside the photo on Picture Sheffield. Anyone with an idea when that photo was taken ?
