All the geeks come out to promote winrar but offer no advice to the poster!

I note that your own post has solved the problem :P

Hi Redissert, we need to know what type of file this is. I assume you're on windows and have file extensions turned off... if that's the case, open the folder that the file is in and click 'tools' at the top. Click on the 'view' tab then scroll down the list and untick 'hide extensions for known file types' then apply at the bottom. You can then close the new window and you should be able to see the file extension - three letters after a dot at the end of the filename. If you tell us what they are we'll be able to help further.

If you want your file extensions off again just follow the steps above and put a tick back in the same box.

Hope that helps,

Oi, I will have you know that he aint been back since I posted something very similar to the above but in much easier to understand terms... (excluding all the spelling mistakes and missing a few minor details...) Stick to what you know, ipconfig /all.... Bloody ISP support, think they know everything..

:hihi::hihi::hihi:

It's been fixed apparently, he should have used winrar, someone should tell him
